Salaries for 1st Ladies Office Staff

Unbelievable, well no longer, but would have been unbelievable prior to January 20, 2009.

The salaries for staffers in the Office of First Lady are now available. These are the key government officials assembled by our First Lady Michelle Obama to assist and wait on her as she discharges her important duties.

The highest paid is of course her Chief of Staff, Susan Sher, who is paid a salary of $172,200 per year, or $14,333 per month.

Next, at $140,000 per year, or $11,667 per month:

Frye, Jocelyn C. (DEPUTY ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT AND DIRECTOR OF POLICY AND PROJECTS FOR THE FIRST LADY).

Then, at $113,000 per year, or only $9,417 per month:

Rogers, Desiree G. (SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT AND WHITE HOUSE SOCIAL SECRETARY)

at $102,000 per year, yipes, only $8,500 per month:

Johnston, Camille Y. (SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT AND DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS FOR THE FIRST LADY)

and

Winter, Melissa E. (SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT AND DEPUTY CHIEF OF STAFF TO THE FIRST LADY)

at $90,000 per year, bare subsistence, $7,870 per month :

Medina, David S. (DEPUTY CHIEF OF STAFF TO THE FIRST LADY)

at $84,000 per year, only $7,000 per month:

Lelyveld, Catherine M. (DIRECTOR AND PRESS SECRETARY TO THE FIRST LADY)

at $75,000 per year, just $6,250 per month:

Tubman, Samantha (DEPUTY ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, SOCIAL OFFICE)

at $40,000 per year:

Boswell, Joseph J. (EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE CHIEF OF STAFF TO THE FIRST LADY)

at $36,000 per year, poor staff assistants,only $3,000per month:

Armbruster, Sally M. (STAFF ASSISTANT TO THE SOCIAL SECRETARY)

Unquestionably our new First Lady is doing her best to stimulate employment in Washington, DC ! Twenty-two jobs (?) at a total cost of $1,600,700 per year. Congratulations MICHELLE !!

And guess what! YOU ARE PAYING FOR IT!

This is compared to Laura Bush who’s office staff pay was $770,000.00 for 2008
